The Object of the Game
The object of Mini-Baccarat is to bet on which of two hands will have a score closest to 9.
The Game
Mini-Baccarat is played with six decks of cards. Each numbered card less than ten is worth its face value, aces are worth 1, and tens and face cards are worth 0. The suit does not matter.
Players make bets before the hands are dealt - any amount from the table minimum to the table maximum. There are three options:
Betting on the Player's hand
Betting on the Banker's hand
Betting on a Tie
The Hit Schedule
Following the announcement of the Point Counts of each hand, the dealer shall determine whether to deal a third card to each hand:
If either the player or the banker has a total of an 8 or a 9 they both stand. There are no exceptions and this rule overrides all other rules.
If the player has total of 6 or 7, the player stands.
If the player stands, the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.
If the player has total of 5 or less, the player automatically hits and the banker gives the player a third card.
If the player gets a third card then the banker draws a third card according to the following rules:
Banker has a total of 0, 1, or 2: Banker always draws a third card.
Banker has a total of 3: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-9-0, (not 8).
Banker has a total of 4: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 2-3-4-5-6-7.
Banker has a total of 5: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is 4-5-6-7.
Banker has a total of 6: Banker draws if Player's Third Card is of 6-7.
Banker has a total of 7: Banker always stands.
The Payoff
A winning wager made on the "Player's Hand" shall be paid off by the dealer at odds of 1 to 1.
A winning tie bet shall be paid at odds of 8 to 1.
Except as otherwise provided a winning wager made on the "Banker's Hand" shall be paid off by the dealer at odds of 1 to 1, except that the dealer shall record a commission known as "vigorish" from the winning player in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount won.
